The DJ38 features a flat-top bead profile. Unlike sharp traditional bead hooks, the flat top creates a broader, more “blunt” contact area when the rim hits concrete lips, wooden ramps, or metal edges. Instead of concentrating impact force into a tiny sharp point, the load is spread across a wider flat surface, which structurally reduces the risk of severe dents and bead damage—especially on mixed-material Dirt / park spots.
Because Dirt Jump and slopestyle involve frequent big spins and strong lateral forces, the DJ38 uses a hooked bead design. The bead hook locks the tire bead securely in place, helping prevent the tire from rolling off or burping air during 360s, 720s, tailwhips, and other aggressive tricks. This gives riders a more secure, predictable interface between tire and rim in both training and competition.

Warranty Policy
Each ICANIAN frame and rim has a valid product lifecycle. Each bicycle, frame and rim has a unique identification number and warranty card. Please fill in the provided card and warranty form and send it to us. Failure to use the provided warranty card will void your warranty. Please keep the dated receipt as proof of purchase.

Condition:
If any manufacturing defect occurs within 30 days from the date of purchase, ICANIAN is obliged to replace the rim and pay for shipping. If any manufacturing defect occurs after 31 days and up to 2 years from the date of purchase, ICANIAN is obliged to replace the product. The product owner is responsible for shipping costs.
If we no longer produce the rim you purchased, we will upgrade you to the latest equivalent model free of charge.
The warranty plan is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear (bearings, spokes, nipples, brake rims, tires, inner tubes, pawls, flywheels, seals, rim tape, etc.)
Improperly installed and/or adjusted products.
Problems caused by neglect or poor maintenance.
Surface treatment and cosmetic treatments (anodizing, decals, etc.)
Impact damage.
Consequential or incidental damages (if applicable)
Products purchased “second-hand”, “used”, “as is” or clearly marked “no warranty”
Counterfeit products
Unauthorized modifications or changes, including but not limited to any repairs performed by anyone other than ICAN or ICANIAN authorized service providers, or any repairs other than those recommended by ICANIAN customer service.
